How to travel

Choose Your Departure Point

Traveling from Bali is straightforward — you have two departure points.

Padang Bai is located on the north-east coast of Bali and is the most popular harbour for fast boats. It's a bit further to reach by road, but once you're on the water, the crossing across the sea is much faster — around 1.5 hours to reach Lombok and the Gili Islands. This is the preferred harbour for most travellers.

Sanur/Serangan can be an option, making it easier to get to in the morning. The trade-off is a longer sea crossing — around 3 hours to Lombok. Sanur is the harbour you should choose when going to Nusa Penida and Lembongan.

If you've booked a shuttle transfer with us, your driver will pick you up at the assembly point near your accommodation early in the morning, typically around 06:00, and bring you directly to the harbour in time for departure.
